Internal Space
The series of drawings is inspired by De Chirico and Carra's Metaphysical Painting, especially their concern with deeper truth, and the rejection of naturalistic representations of reality. Internal Space, reflects inner life, thoughts and feelings, as well as experiences that some may classify as spiritual. Intuition guided every element created, and some shapes are reminiscent of objects found in space and nature. Each drawing has its own concern, Internal Space deals with change towards positivity, mental health and beauty. Solar Flare speaks of healing from trauma and A new Beginning reflects on a fresh start and the idea of a new world.
